These sites maybe mountains, lakes, monuments etc. In this article, I will take you through what I consider to be the top seven historical sites that explore world heritage.

Sri Dalada Maligawa, Sri Lanka

The site is located in Sri Lanka in a city called Kandy. It’s also known as the temple of the sacred Tooth Relic. The temple was built within the royal palace complex, housing the tooth relic of the Buddha, a tooth, which is more valued by the Buddhists. This relic tooth has played a vital role in the local politics since the ancient times as it is believed to be the symbol of power and whoever holds the relic then holds the governance of the country. The temple still plays as a venue for daily ritual worships in the inner chamber of the temple.
